Meeru Resort in the Maldives is a beautiful island surrounded by powdered sugar sand and the perfect ocean. Meeru has room for relaxation, tanning, swimming, lovely SPA treatments and several other activities you may crave in paradise.
Meeru Island Resort and Spa is located on Meerufenfushi island on the North Male’ Atoll of the Maldives. It is one of the bigger islands, which makes it perfect for those of you who travel with kids or like to have some activities as an option, if you think you get tired of just lazing about on the beach. I promise you that you won’t, but still, it is nice to hit a golf- or tennis ball if you feel like it. Riding a bike, and also walking around this island could actually be considered a workout, if you like.
Meeru has various groups of villas around the island, so there are options to choose from, whether you prefer the beach, the water or something in the middle. The villas are spacious and contains everything you need. Some of them have private jacuzzies.
There are also a couple of nice pools if you, or your kids, would like an alternative to the beach. An afternoon dip in the pool while sipping a mojito and watching the sunset is not a bad idea.
When it comes to dining at the Meeru, there are several options. The buffet is quite good and they vary menus and themes daily, but if you want a change of scenery, there are two other good restaurants and a café on the island. I still recommend the all-inclusive package, because it is nice not having to think about prices and money while you are there.
The SPA is located at the south tip of the Island, and the rooms are situated on top of the water. I can´t think of a better view while enjoying a SPA treatment than the clear, blue ocean and the colorful fish dancing underneath you. It is truly wonderful.
While many of us visit the Maldives because of the powdered beaches, some of us also enjoy the underwater adventures. Few places in the world have the visibility and this many wonderful sea creatures to look at as the Maldives. I have had a couple of my best dives on these reefs, and I will never forget them. Like the manta cleaning station! But if you don´t like to dive, the snorkeling is almost just as good. You will spot mantas, sharks and colorful fish a few steps into the water.
I know you have heard all the clichés about how beautiful the Maldives are. And I promise you, they are all true…
