Hotel Zhero is located seven km from Palma city center in Mallorca, which was just a ten minutes drive. The hotel welcomes you with a clean, white and great looking reception, which also is the bar and lounge area. My first meeting with another guest was not the best. A British, drunk young boy. I was scared that the hotel was too much of a party hotel for my family and I, but that wasn´t the case. At least not while we were there. Most of the other guests were grown up Germans. They are polite and not too loud.
Since we were a family of five on that trip, we booked the pool villa.The room was huge and very cool. We had two big and comfortable beds, two big and cool bathrooms, a huge sofa and an extra bed. The villa is situated right next to the pool, which is also the lounge and breakfast area. This means that there will be some music and talking at night and in the mornings. But if you can live with that, I absolutely recommend the Pool Villa.
My favorite thing about this hotel was the art. Modern and edgy photographs of good-looking people with not too much clothes. They were blown up to huge poster and placed in the room, by the pool and throughout the outside and inside walls. The breakfast is also good and contains everything you expect from a breakfast in Spain, but you pay extra for eggs and coffee.
We stayed at the hotel at the end of September and beginning of October. It is a great time to be in Mallorca because there are fewer people here, but the down site is that things may be closed. That was the case with the hotels restaurant. But the staff had great restaurant offers for nearby places to eat and even called for pizza take away for us when we got hungry and didn´t want to leave the wonderful lounge area. The pizza was cheap and great tasting. Another thing is that the pool was quite chilly, but that didn´t stop our little Viking kids. The hotels supply of huge and fluffy pool towels and big, blow-up toys for the girls to play with, also added to our positive experience.
